Our mission – To Feed the Hungry – was born out of John Cole, Jr.’s dream to teach kids how to grow their own food. By teaching them this essential skill they are able to take care of themselves for years to come. Kids Feeding Kids, a non-profit organization, does this in a variety of ways.
First, we are creating an Eco Agriculture Education Center where everyone, young and old, can come for hands on experience to learn a variety of techniques on how to grow their own vegetables, fruits and herbs from using raised beds to hydroponics systems.
Second, Kids Feeding Kids Helps Our Community by hosting annual giveaways. Here are just a few:
Back-to-school
For back-to-school season we give away backpacks filled with school essentials as well as bags of clothing and food.
Thanksgiving
At Thanksgiving we share complete turkey dinner baskets that include all the trimmings with those in need.
Christmas
At Christmastime we celebrate the joy of the season with the children by giving Christmas baskets filled with toys as well as sharing food.
